Interview with Cyle, Caesar, Liz and Samuel
JM: Did you find it difficult to get along with other inmates? Please give examples to explain why you did or didn't.
Cyle: I only stayed with 1 other person, and they
barely
said a word to me. He was arrested for marijuana
charges apparently.
Caesar: Not at all.
Liz: The females I was housed with were all pretty
cool, not many wanted to start drama, everyone is
there to do their time and get out. but with 24
girls there is bound to be some drama.
Samuel: No very laid back most problems are from inmate on inmate
theft
JM: What types of things did you have to do to avoid problems or fights with other inmates?
Cyle: I just kept my mouth shut and didn't say a word.
Caesar: Just kept to oneself.
Samuel: Keep to yourself , don't complain (everyone is in the same
boat)
JM: Were you able to choose an inmate as your cellmate if you knew one? How often would your cellmate(s) change?
Cyle: No.
Caesar: Don't think so.
Liz: you could move bunks depending on seniority and
the guards

i think its kinda fkd up when the denton jails like a freakin motel u stay warm in wintr cold in summer u have cable tv u get extra munchy food coffee in mornings brkfast lunch dinner served to u hell its like theyr doin u a favor while u kick bk until u get out shoot my kids were safe it was like a freakin 3 mth vacation for me i didnt learn nething i shoulda got my schooling there but hell i was chillin the hole time so i dont care wat ne one says its a freakin vacation from reality cause u got visitations and phone calls so u couldnt really miss ne one plus letters and jail paid for them so if u call tht jail pppplease !

the denton county jail is run by lazy jailers while the holding cell is contiuning to be filled with more peoples the jailers are reading the paper doing whatever they can to not do what they are supposed to do which to get the inmates housed. One of the times I was in the holding cell for 4 days and had talked to another man who said he was in there for a week when your only supposed to be in waiting for 2 or 3 days tops so if your wanted in denton county and you and head in your in for a long wait to get booked in. oh yeah I should also tell you to dress warm, and eat real good before you go in.

Hey, I saw the convers you and Shell had and I think you're right...sometimes good people get put in jail and the system makes mistakes. However, I was a jail guard for a while a couple of years a go. It may seem like they are lazy, who knows. However, they are simply there to follow orders and ensure the safety of everyone around them, including the inmates. They aren't really permitted to bring in anything or do anything else...just sit around, walk around, watch everything and stay alert. If you think about it, it kind of sucks. Being a guard is like babysitting a bunch of grown up babies. Some of the people in their might be wrongfully inprisoned. But many of them are there because they screwed up and got caught. Then the guards have to deal with disrespectful thugs. The job sucks, but that's what they get paid to do. I just ask that you give the same empathy and respect that you expect from others...you never really know a person's situation until you have been in their shoes. Good luck in life, Tricia

i was in denton county last summer and never disrespected a guard or an inmate. on top of that i was on road crew doing way harder work than any guard Ive ever met. So please dont put me in the category of "disrespectful thug".

omg! that is so true!!! I was in that cold ass room for 2 days, all the jailers just talk and fuck around. Their system is so slow!

What do you expect? Do you think you are at the Ritz-Carlton? No, you are in jail and for a reason...you broke the law. You don't deserve any special treatment the cops shouldn't have to cater to you in ANY way.
