JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Cyle: Yes.
Caesar: yes. 4 in the pod. 2 in the barracks.
Liz: most of the time
Samuel: Yes $9 for 45 minutes
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
Cyle: The only way to place calls was by collect.
Caesar: had to be collect calls, and only to landlines.
Liz: the phone company just changed so it went to 15m
for $15
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Cyle: See above.
Caesar: Yes. $9 for 45 min. to local numbers.
Liz: you can buy phone cards off commisairy $9 for 3 15
min calls
Samuel: Yes off commissary
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Cyle: Probably.
Caesar: I don't think so
Liz: it says it does but im doubting it

They record every second of every phone call. I know this becauseI had an ongoing CPS case, and my boyfriend was in jail at my trial they pulled out a whole box of cd's with every single second and word spoken of every phone call. They even have the little bit recorded if you don't accept the call. CRAZY!!!!!!

My mistake I pressed the # to block calls from an inmate. How can I go by reactivating to allow collect calls again?

You can sign up with www.4inmates.com and it will allow you to set up an email account that will allow the inmate to receive a printed copy of the email. I was told it's .60 / email to send and if you want to receive a response it's .60. You'll set up an account and put money in it for both parties to use and just refill when/if necessary.

How and where can I find a link to set up an account for e-messaging.I had found a website stating that you can send an email to the denton co. jail and they print out the paper to give to the inmate. Supposally it faster to do it this way since it takes about 2 days for the inmate to receive then the regular mail which can take up to few weeks. and of course the jail wants to charge you 44 cents every time you send this e - messaging for the "stamp". I need help I cant find it now.

You can buy calling cards for 9 bucks and that gives you 3 15 minute phone calls unless its long distance.

You must set up an account and give around 25 bux to start. they were supposed to email me. The foriegner on the phone with bad english seemed to have my email correct. I came to this site looking for the company's name so I can add more $$ so I can get a call again.

Families and friends can call Customer Svc at 1-800-844-6591 to set up a prepaid phone account to accept calls that can't be billed collect.

you are rigth V-Connect does not work for Denton. The Company to use for Denton is Correctional Billing Serv ph# 800-844-6591. The fee is $6.95 plus a minimun of $25 and a max of $100. Then, the deduct $2.95 for each call wether is 1 min or 15 min (which is the allowed max) so I suggest u use all 15 min, there'll be a voice that tells you when u have 1 minute left. You can also add more the 1 ph# to the acc. And if you don't use the entire amount, you can request a refund. Hope that helps.
